Group exhibition in Galerie De Ploegh, Amersfoort
Ventsers Op De Seizoenen is a site specific work I made for the exhibition NECTAR Art & Urban Nature. It consists of four collages inspired by the nature and the city around the church in every season. Each collage is made up of small brightly coloured pieces of paper and was made to fit into one of the many alcoves of the church. Thus seemingly turning the works in to stain-glass windows showing the church surroundings and the many things to be found f you look closely.
These collages are now on show in Galerie De Ploegh as part of Geraakt Door Natuur, an exhibition in which 11 De Ploegh artists focus on their relationship to nature.

This fall along with fellow artists from De Ploegh I will be at the Affordable Art Fair Amsterdam in the Kromhouthallen. I will be showing work from my series Krahn Avenue, a collection of drawings and collages based on the house I grew up in in chilly North Ontario.

This past year I have been working hard on a site specific work for this exhibition.

During the exhibition you can take part in lots of activities. Several lectures, guided tours and children's workshops about the history of the church, (urban) nature and the exhibtion itself will be organised. For a full list of activites, dates and times check
PRACTICAL INFORMATION
The Sint Joriskerk is open Tue-Sat 11am-5pm
Entrance fee 2euros (children up to 12 free)
The church is sometimes closed for weddings and other events! Before your visit please check their website for an up to date list of times they are closed.
It is hard to reach the centre of Amerfoort by car. You are best advised to park your car outside the city wall, for instance at De Flint parking garage, and taking a short 5 minute walk to the church.
If you come by train the church is a 15 minute walk from Amersfoort Central Station.

based on the piece of art that inspired them most
This exhibition was initially held at Galerie De Ploegh in Amersfoort in December. Unfortunately due to Covid-19 restrictions the show had to close after just two weeks.
Now it has found a new home in Purmerend at Kunsthuis Waterland!
The exhibition will be opened on Friday April 8 at 4pm
